"You have one unheard message," the voice message box chimed as Pleakley pushed a button and began to hear the messages.

"One unheard message." There was a short beep before the message began.

"Hello, this is Tom Tucker. I am sorry to inform you that you did not get the job for Channel 5 News Station. I just don't think you are suitable for the job. Better luck next time."

"End of message," the machine intoned as a brief pause passed before there was another message. "Two unheard messages." Another beep. "Hello, Pleakley! This is your mother and father. We are planning to come down here to L.A. in the next couple of days so we can talk about your marriage plans."

"GAAH!" Pleakley shrieked as he stumbled about in a terrible panic while shivering.

"We love you son, but we will not be around forever, and we'd like some grand kids, so hopefully you will eventually decide who you will choose to marry. See you soon. Bye."
