Continuing "Next Generation"

"Let's go to bed, darling; I'm very tired," Lee sighed as she crawled underneath the covers and lay down close to Rhonda while wrapping her arms around her. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply as she relaxed her body to sleep.

Rod then smiled as he lay down next to Lee and hugged her tightly "Rest on my arms" he whispered

"Okay," Lee's voice cracked as she lay listlessly in his arms while cradling Rhonda snugly in her arms and a stray tear ran down her cheek. "I'm sorry, Rod; I've been a bad girl."

"Don't worry, Lee, everything will be okay tomorrow" Rod whispered

"I wish I could believe that," Lee sighed dejectedly while closing her eyes.

"Believe me" Rod whsipered as he also clsoed his eyes

"Do you really know my heart?" Lee whispered as she cradled her head closer to his neck.

"Yeah" Rod whispered back

(Sure)

"How?" Lee hissed softly while nuzzling deeply into his neck.

"Don't worry, those guys owe me an entire bunch of things, i am sure i can convince them to forgive you" Rod smiled

"All right, if you insist," Lee sighed as she cuddled close to him while drifting off to sleep. "Night."

"Night" Rod whispered as he drifted onto sleep quickly

The next morning, the entire house was filled with sunlight as Rhonda stirred quietly while opening her eyes. She then sat up and yawned while rubbing her face. Lee then shifted slightly in her sleep as she slowly woke up and smiled at Rhonda. "Morning, darling," she whispered as Rhonda smiled at her. "Morning, Lee," she whispered back as she kissed her on the cheek.

"Morning, you two" Rod smirked as he kissed Lee and Rhonda, he was already awake

"Morning, Rod; how did you sleep last night?" Lee purred softly.

"What happened, Rod? I hear Doug screaming at Lee last night," Rhonda inquired at her husband.

"Well" Rod smiled at Lee, then turned to Rhonda "Well, i dunno how to explain it, it is too shocking to tell" he then quickly turned to Lee "In dad's eyes, not in mine"

"Well, Rhonda, Doug's mad at me because he found out that I secretly married Byron over 30 years ago," Lee answered pithily with a sigh.

"I assue you divorced him, right?" Rod asked

"Byron? No, he died, so legally I am not married to him anymore," Lee shrugged.

"Oh" Rod nodded

"I divorced Doug, so he is not my husband anymore," Lee corrected him sternly.

"Oh, got it" Rod nodded

"Lee, I think you should try to talk with Doug and see if you can try to make peace with him," Rhonda proposed as Lee nodded sadly. "It's not only him I have to worry about; Renee's upset with me as well and now she refuses to speak with me."

"Then talk with her too; you should cherish your relationship with her since you're the only family she has left," Rhonda advised her sternly as Lee nodded. "I know; I understand."

"And what about me?" Rod frowned "I am her family too"

"That too, Rod," Rhonda nodded. "As a matter of fact, we are all her family. We're the only one she has anymore. I think you should go talk to both of them and try to get them to forgive them."
